The City of Reno is seeking an Equipment Service Writer to organize and coordinate maintenance for city fleet vehicles and equipment. You will schedule repairs, create work orders, track service status, and ensure technicians and customers have timely information and parts.

You will interact with city departments and external vendors, monitor inventories, process purchases, and maintain records. The role requires reliability, clear communication, and attention to detail in a fast-paced fleet

Qualificações

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of administrative work supporting fleet/equipment repair or scheduling repairs and ordering parts.
• Experience coordinating with departments and vendors; knowledge of parts ordering processes.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance for City fleet equipment.
• Create, update, and track service requests and work orders using fleet management systems.
• Communicate with City departments and fleet operators regarding maintenance needs and status.
• Research and identify appropriate parts, place orders, and monitor inventory levels.
• Administer purchasing documentation and maintain accurate fleet records.
