Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. seeks a Business Unit Fleet Maintenance Manager to oversee 5+ shops and multiple teams responsible for preventive maintenance and repair of a large fleet.

You will implement and monitor safety and compliance standards across sites, lead maintenance supervisors, and ensure efficient operations while controlling costs. Responsibilities include directing on-site technicians, coordinating scheduling, and driving process improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience leading large maintenance teams across multiple sites.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and fleet safety practices.
• Ability to manage budgets, procurement, and inventory for maintenance operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction to on-site technicians and supervisors to ensure safe, efficient and timely repairs; reallocate resources across sites as needed.
• Oversee daily shop huddles, fleet walk-arounds, coaching and counseling; participate in hiring/terminations with HR.
• Maintain an ongoing preventive maintenance program for all shops; monitor costs, purchases, and outsourcing of repairs.
• Perform inspections of outside repairs; identify training needs and drive corrective actions with supervision.
