Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor to lead a maintenance shop and a team of technicians. You will plan and schedule preventive maintenance, oversee diagnostics, and ensure repairs meet safety and regulatory standards for trucks, containers, and heavy equipment.

The role requires strong supervisory experience, hands-on maintenance expertise, and a commitment to safety. On-site work with participation in budget and inventory controls is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• ASE certifications listed (T3 Drive, T4 Brake, T5 Suspension & Steering, T6 Electrical/Electronic, T7 HVAC, T2 Diesel Engine, Master Certified).
• Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience with heavy equipment; 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Knowledge of safety, DOT, OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction to technicians to ensure safe, efficient, and timely repairs.
• Manage shop operations, including scheduling, coaching, and performance evaluations.
• Oversee diagnostics and road testing for complex repairs.
• Control inventory and budget for the maintenance shop.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory procedures.
