Job summary

Sysco Raleigh, LLC is seeking a Fleet Technician Lead to supervise and mentor fleet technicians, oversee inspections, and ensure safe, reliable vehicle operation. The role emphasizes leadership, diagnostic proficiency, and adherence to DOT/OSHA standards.

The position offers a full-time schedule with 2nd or 3rd shift options, a boot and tool allowance, and comprehensive benefits. Candidates should have heavy duty truck training and a valid license; CDL is a plus.

Qualifications

• Heavy Duty truck technical training required.
• High school diploma required.
• Current and valid driver\'s license; CDL preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Supervisory roles when fleet supervisors or managers are not accessible and mentor technicians.
• Advise on progression to management positions and develop team capabilities.
• Provide daily communications and reports to the fleet supervisor or manager.
• Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles within planned time tolerances.
• Maximize safety, reliability, and cost efficiency across the fleet lifecycle.
• Conduct FAI/CVI inspections per federal, state, and local guidelines.
• Address driver vehicle inspection reports promptly and efficiently.
• Diagnose malfunctions and repair to OEM specifications across various systems.
