Job summary

United Road in Plymouth, MI is seeking a Maintenance Coordinator to support the maintenance division, keeping the equipment running safely and efficiently. You will communicate breakdowns to mechanics, arrange emergency services, and document repairs to aid the next shift.

You should be organized, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, with familiarity in fleet repair coordination and basic web-based programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; trades/technical schooling preferred.
• Minimum one year experience working on heavy-duty trucks or coordinating fleet repairs.
• Ability to learn web-based programs (e.g., TMT, OVISS).
• Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Communicate breakdown and repair issues to mechanics to reduce downtime.
• Arrange emergency maintenance service and ensure timely paperwork.
• Enter all pertinent data into the corporate system.
• Coordinate with terminal for breakdown updates and next-shift handoff.
• Assist drivers with local transportation and lodging arrangements.
• Document breakdowns and repair actions for continuity.
