Job summary

United Road Services, Inc. is seeking a Regional Maintenance Director in Plymouth, MI to lead maintenance shops, guide shop management, and ensure cost-effective repairs across the region.

You will drive preventive maintenance, manage budgets, and align goals with corporate objectives while maintaining vehicle safety and uptime. The role requires strong leadership, travel to terminals and vendors, and extensive experience in heavy equipment repair management.

Qualifications

• College degree preferred, or at least 5-7 years of practical heavy equipment repair experience.
• Five years of management experience in the heavy truck repair industry.
• Some travel required to terminals and vendor locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper staffing of all maintenance shops in the region.
• Direct the duties and actions of shop management personnel.
• Oversees all aspects of maintenance preventive care, emergency repairs and major repairs for fleet.
• Meet corporate CSA metric goals through constant monitoring of vehicle CSA performance on all assigned equipment.
• Reduce equipment breakdown by confirming preventative maintenance and repairs are performed effectively during scheduled services.
• Effectively communicate with terminal managers, shop personnel, fleet support, and vendors to receive and give daily status updates on down equipment.
• Responsible for region and divisional maintenance budget; meet or exceed divisional and region CPM goals.
