Job summary

Republic Services seeks a Maintenance Clerk to provide administrative support for the maintenance function and ensure parts availability. The role involves data entry in the fleet system, processing purchase orders, and coordinating with vendors to receive goods and services.

Responsibilities include maintaining inventory, scheduling, and reporting on fleet maintenance activities, with a focus on accuracy and safety compliance across operations.

Qualifications

• Related experience in a maintenance / trucking industry.
• 1 year of general office experience or equivalent training.

Responsibilities

• Assures the availability of parts in a cost-effective manner.
• Maintains fleet records on inventory levels, preventive maintenance schedules, and corrective maintenance performed on all units.
• Inputs fleet information into the computerized fleet management system daily.
• Receives, tags, stocks and dispenses parts to mechanics according to policy.
• Reviews purchase orders with accounting to ensure accuracy and payment of invoices.
• Produces productivity and usage reports for management review.
• Supports the Fleet Manager with analysis of fleet operations reports; identifies trends and corrects errors.
