Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a Mechanic/Technician in Las Vegas to maintain and repair our fleet of diesel tractors, trailers, forklifts, and related equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs with an emphasis on safety and documentation.

Candidates typically have diesel mechanic training or ASE certifications; ASE Master adds $5.50/hr; tool reimbursement; tuition and shift differential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• One year vehicle maintenance experience or completion of a vehicle maintenance certificate.
• Medium/Heavy Truck ASE Certifications and Class A CDL preferred.
• Must possess necessary tools to perform tasks.
• Valid driver’s license may be required depending on assignment.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative and routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts, and other equipment.
• Performs basic diagnostics to identify trouble sources and make necessary adjustments.
• Works with other technicians in preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Ensures proper documentation of maintenance performed, reports written and electronic.
• Performs safety inspections and documents the work.
