Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a Mechanic/Technician to maintain diesel tractors, trailers, forklifts, and related equipment. You will diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance while ensuring accurate documentation.

The role offers opportunities for ASE certification, tool reimbursement, and shift differentials. Starting pay is $31.54 per hour with potential bonuses and tuition reimbursement for ASE certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• 1 year experience in vehicle maintenance or related certificate required.
• ASE certifications and Class A CDL preferred.
• Must possess required tools to perform tasks.
• Valid driver's license may be required depending on assignment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts, and related equipment.
• Conduct basic diagnostics and adjust equipment for safe operation.
• Document work and complete reports in writing and electronically.
• Perform safety inspections and assist with paint/body work as needed.
• Work independently or with a team to complete tasks.
