Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a Mechanic/Technician to maintain and repair our fleet of diesel tractors, trailers, forklifts, and related equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs with attention to safety and efficiency.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and relevant ASE certifications; ASE Master certification adds pay bonuses. The position offers competitive hourly wages starting at $30.70 per hour and opportunities for tool reimbursement and tuition

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or GED) preferred.
• One year vehicle maintenance experience or certificate from accredited school or FedEx Apprentice Program completed.
• One or more Medium/Heavy Truck ASE Certifications and Class A CDL preferred.
• Must possess necessary tools to perform tasks.
• Valid driver’s license may be required depending on assignment.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative and routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts, and other equipment.
• Performs basic diagnostics to identify trouble sources and makes adjustments for safe operation.
• Collaborates with technicians on preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Documents all maintenance performed in writing and electronically.
