FedEx Freight in Council Bluffs, IA is seeking a Fleet Mechanic/Technician to maintain a fleet of diesel tractors, trailers, and forklifts. You’ll perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs to ensure safe operation, with emphasis on accuracy and timely service.

The role requires tools, basic computer skills, and the ability to work independently or in a team. ASE and CDL credentials are preferred; tool reimbursement and tuition support are available.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of vehicle maintenance experience or a maintenance certificate within 60 days.
• One or more Medium/Heavy Truck ASE Certifications and Class A CDL preferred.
• Must possess necessary tools to perform tasks.
• Valid driver’s license may be required depending on work assignment.

Responsabilidades

• Performs preventative and routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts, and other equipment.
• Performs basic diagnostics to identify trouble sources and makes adjustments for safe operation.
• Works with technicians in performing preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Documents all maintenance performed, completes reports in writing and electronically.
• Performs safety inspections of equipment and documents the work.
• Performs paint and body work on vehicles, as required.
• Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Perform other duties as required.
