Job summary

FedEx Freight seeks a Mechanic/Technician to maintain our fleet of diesel tractors, trailers, forklifts, and related equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs, while ensuring accurate documentation and safety compliance.

Tools provided, with opportunities for ASE-related advancement. The role requires at least 1 year of vehicle maintenance experience or an eligible certification, with preference for Medium/Heavy Truck ASE certifications and Class A CDL, and the

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of vehicle maintenance experience or eligible for a maintenance certificate.
• Medium/Heavy Truck ASE certifications and Class A CDL preferred.
• Must provide own tools and have valid driver’s license if required.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance and diagnostic procedures.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative and routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts, and other equipment
• Performs basic diagnostics to identify trouble and adjusts equipment for safe operation
• Works with technicians to perform preventive maintenance and repairs
• Documents maintenance work in writing and electronically
• Performs safety inspections and documents results
• Performs paint and body work as required
• Comply with laws, regulations and company policies
• Perform other duties as required
