Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a Mechanic/Technician to maintain and repair our fleet, including diesel tractors, trailers, forklifts, and related equipment. The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and accurate documentation.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, with 1+ year of vehicle maintenance experience and ASE certifications. Class A CDL and tool ownership are preferred to qualify.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or GED) preferred.
• One year vehicle maintenance experience or a maintenance certificate from a/vocational program or FedEx Apprentice Program.
• One or more Medium/Heavy Truck ASE Certifications and Class A CDL preferred.
• Must possess necessary tools to perform tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts, and other equipment.
• Conduct basic diagnostics and adjust equipment for safe operation.
• Collaborate with technicians to perform preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Document all maintenance accurately in reports (written and electronic).
• Conduct safety inspections and perform paint and body work as required.
• Adhere to laws, regulations, and company procedures; perform other duties as required.
