Job summary

FedEx Freight is looking for a Mechanic/Technician to maintain a fleet of diesel tractors, trailers, and forklifts. The role involves preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and timely repairs to ensure safe operation.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED, and one year of vehicle maintenance experience or completion of the Apprentice Program. ASE certifications and a Class A CDL are preferred. Tools are provided as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• One year experience with vehicle maintenance or completing FedEx Freight Apprentice Program.
• One or more Medium/Heavy Truck ASE Certifications and Class A CDL preferred.
• Must possess necessary tools to perform assigned tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts, and other equipment.
• Conduct basic diagnostics to identify issues and adjust equipment for safe operation.
• Work with other technicians on preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Document maintenance performed in writing and electronically.
