Job summary

World Group in Charlotte, NC is seeking an energetic Fleet Coordinator to join our ContainerPort Group terminal. You will serve as the liaison between terminal operations and our customer-facing team, building local relationships with warehouses and drivers to ensure smooth service.

This hands-on role requires strong communication, organization, and the ability to manage time-sensitive information in a fast-paced environment, while quoting rates, processing orders, and providing status updates

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• College Degree preferred.
• 1+ year trucking industry experience preferred.
• Highly organized with strong communication skills.
• Thrive in fast-paced environment with heavy email/phone activity.
• Computer skills: MS Office, familiarity with Transportation Management Systems.

Responsibilities

• Communicating quote rates and service capabilities.
• Processing orders as they arrive.
• Providing shipment status updates and delivery times, with alternatives when needed.
• Gathering feedback and identifying trends to improve customer experience.
• Entering time-sensitive order information into computer systems.
• Responding quickly to questions to exceed customer expectations.
• Ensuring customer location and contact information is up to date in systems.
• Performing other duties as requested.
