Job summary

ContainerPort Group, a World Group company, is seeking a dedicated Fleet Manager for our growing Charlotte, NC terminal. You will serve as the critical link between drivers and customers, ensuring on-time service, safety, and productive routes.

You will supervise owner-operators, coordinate loads, monitor performance, and enforce DOT regulations while building strong relationships with contractors and customers. The role offers competitive compensation and room for professional growth.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of intermodal/container transportation experience.
• Working knowledge of DOT regulations.
• Experience working with fleet of contractors/owner operators.
• Exemplary customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strategic thinker in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Proficient with computerized dispatch (TMS).
• Strong computer skills with MS Outlook, Excel, Teams and Word.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervise a fleet of owner-operators.
• Monitor and improve on-time delivery performance and fleet profitability.
• Assign equipment as needed and optimize load distribution.
• Coordinate with Customer Success team on load acceptance/declination.
• Develop relationships with contractors to improve performance and retention.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and contractor policies.
• Coordinate required training for fleet of contractors.
