Job summary

ContainerPort Group, a World Group company in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a Fleet Manager to lead our fleet of owner-operators and support day-to-day operations, ensuring on-time, compliant deliveries and strong customer service. The role emphasizes building trust with drivers and coordinating with the Customer Success team.

You will oversee load assignments, negotiate rates, and drive efficiency, with exposure to TMS, MS Office, and a fast-paced logistics environment.

Qualifications

HS diploma required.
2–5 years of intermodal/container transportation experience.
Working knowledge of DOT regulations.
Experience working with fleet of contractors/owner operators.
Exemplary customer service and interpersonal skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership and supervise our fleet of owner-operators.
Monitor and ensure delivery performance, fleet profitability and regulatory compliance.
Assign equipment as needed.
Maximize efficiency and profitability of every delivery.
Oversee fair distribution of loads among contractors.
Plan and execute order of deliveries for efficient load drops and pickups.
Coordinate with Customer Success team on loads.
Negotiate rates with contractors outside ICOA.
Develop lasting relationships with contractors to improve performance.
Resolve disputes involving contractors.
Monitor contractor compliance with DOT and regulations.
Coordinate required training for fleet contractors.
