Automotive and Industrial Distributors of Billin in Spokane Valley, WA seeks a DOT Fleet Coordinator to oversee driver compliance, fleet documentation, and vehicle maintenance. The role supports safety, regulatory adherence, and efficient operations across the transportation network.

The successful candidate will manage ELDs, DVIRs, and inspections, collaborate with the DOT department, and help control fleet costs while ensuring accurate records and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with transportation, fleet management, DOT compliance preferred.
• Familiarity with commercial vehicle operations and driver management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure drivers operate in compliance with FMCSA, DOT, state and company rules.
• Educate drivers on Hours of Service, hazardous materials, safety requirements and updates.
• Verify functioning electronic logging devices (ELDs) and tablets on all drivers.
• Coordinate tablet troubleshooting and updates with the Corporate DOT Department.
• Deliver DOT notices, documentation, and compliance information to drivers.
• Assist with driver disciplinary and performance documentation as needed.
• Maintain registrations, permits, inspections, and required documentation for vehicles.
• Review weekly trip reports and conduct DVIR checks as requested.
• Schedule vehicle maintenance and ensure regular inspections and DVIR signing.
