Job summary

Eaton's Sumter, SC facility seeks a Panelboard Assembler on 1st shift to build switchboards and panelboards from drawings and BOMs. You will use hand and power tools and work with a team to meet safety, quality and productivity goals.

Responsibilities include reading front views, BOMs, and blueprints; inspecting parts, identifying shortages, and pursuing process improvements. This role requires physical work, standing, lifting up to 35 pounds, and adherence to 5S and PPE policies, with

Qualifications

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of the Sumter facility (50 mile radius) will be considered for this position.
Lean concepts knowledge and assembly experience preferred, with ability to read and comprehend front views, one-line diagrams, bills of materials and pick sheets.

Responsibilities

Assemble switchboards/panelboards from drawings/blueprints and BOMs using hand and power tools.
Identify and install components per established procedures and ensure quality through visual inspections.
Proactively identify shortages or issues and communicate with team members to maintain production flow.
Cross-train and support other roles when needed and participate in continuous improvement activities.
