Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Senior Production Associate – Panelboard Complete Assembly at its Sumter, SC facility. The role focuses on material allocation, assembly, inspection, and shipping to meet order deadlines while upholding Eaton’s quality standards.

Qualified candidates have at least 1 year of manufacturing and assembly experience, plus a high school diploma or GED. A crane operator certification is required or must be obtained, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 1 year of manufacturing or operations experience.
• Minimum 1 year of assembly experience.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
• No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of the Sumter facility (50 mile radius) will be considered for this position.

Responsibilities

• Ensure products and parts meet Eaton quality guidelines as they move through production.
• Receive and carry out work assignments to fulfill customer orders in a timely manner.
• Comply with safety and industrial hygiene requirements and use PPE properly.
• Keep work area organized per 5S standards and work with team to complete assignments.
• Exhibit analytical and problem solving skills to resolve production obstacles.
• Perform Lean Initiatives to improve quality, processes, and safety.
• Select and install components per drawings and manufacturing information.
• Coordinate between steel shop, materials, trim fabrication, and Panelboard assembly for timely completion.
• Demonstrate knowledge of Panelboard components and processes in complete assembly.
