Job summary

Eaton Corporation’s Electrical Sector in Sumter, SC is seeking a Production Associate, Pan Sub-Assembly in Switchboard on 1st Shift. You will assemble switchboards from drawings/diagrams/blueprints, select and install components to meet deadlines, and uphold Eaton’s quality standards.

Prospective candidates should read BOMs, use hand tools, and participate in safety and 5S practices, while working with a team to achieve daily production goals in a noisy, dust-prone environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
• No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of the Sumter facility (50 mile radius) will be considered for this position.
• Manufacturing or operations experience preferred.
• Experience with measuring devices (i.e. tape measure and calipers) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble switchboards/panelboards from drawings and BOMs.
• Select, install, and label components according to drawings/diagrams/blueprints.
• Use hand tools to assemble and verify quality in switchboard enclosures.
• Maintain progress and communicate shortages or problems promptly.
• Perform quality checks including visual inspections and adherence to safety standards.
