Job summary

Eaton Corporation in Sumter, SC is seeking an Electrical/Wiring Technician to join a Monday–Friday 6:00am–2:30pm shift. The role involves wiring switchboards/panelboards, reading diagrams, and ensuring quality through inspection and problem solving.

The ideal candidate has at least 6 months of wiring and manufacturing experience, and must be legally authorized to work in the United States. This position offers an hourly rate with an incentive program based on performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 6 months wiring experience.
• 6 months experience in manufacturing or operations and/or technical experience in an industrial setting.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a safe, engaged and inclusive work culture by complying with all policies, including proper use of PPE and operation of equipment, and performing 5S duties.
• Use various tools, such as wire strippers and pliers to perform the electrical wiring assembly of switchboards or panelboards.
• Work from manufacturing information such as BOMs, wiring diagrams, drawings and instructions to accurately select and install wires.
• Understand power flow and reference guidelines to comply with regulations when wiring switchboards or panelboards.
• Maintain progress and communicate problems or shortages; identify opportunities for process improvement and perform root cause analysis.
