Job summary

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is seeking a Switchboard Assembler on the first shift in Sumter, SC. The role involves selecting and installing components on switchboards/panelboards using hand and power tools, following drawings and blueprints to manufacture custom orders.

Work with a team to meet safety, quality, and productivity goals, perform 5S duties, and cross-train for other areas as needed. Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds and read front views/diagrams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience reading blueprints, diagrams, or manufacturing drawings.
• Experience with measurements and measuring devices (e.g., tape measure, calipers).
• Experience in complex assembly operations or assembly requiring drawings/diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Assemble switchboards/panelboards using hand and power tools according to drawings/blueprints.
• Install components and verify quality while following established procedures.
• Support safety, quality, and productivity goals; identify part shortages and process improvements.
• Cross-train for other areas and communicate issues affecting production.
