Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Fire Systems Sales Representative to promote and sell Fire Safety Systems to customers and end users within an assigned territory and accounts. You will establish contact with prospects, qualify opportunities, schedule sales calls, and develop a compelling sales strategy to achieve quota.

The role involves conducting seminars and demonstrations, preparing proposals and presentations, and delivering follow-up to close deals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in marketing, business or engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of successful sales experience in electronics or similar industry.
• Highly motivated with strong self-discipline and goal orientation.
• Ability to identify, qualify opportunities and close sales.
• Experience with electrical contractors; reading blueprints and wiring diagrams desirable.
• Proficient with Microsoft and Oracle programs.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and proven sales techniques.
• Ability to obtain necessary licenses per codes.

Responsibilities

• Promote and sell Fire Safety Systems to customers within assigned territory.
• Develop sales strategy, qualify opportunities, schedule calls and follow up.
• Conduct seminars and demonstrations to generate leads.
• Prepare proposals, presentations and financial justifications; close sales.
• Maintain accounts and provide weekly/monthly progress reports.
• Represent the company at trade shows and industry events.
