Job summary

Getz Fire Equipment Company is seeking a Fire Suppression Systems Technician to install kitchen hood systems, inspect extinguishers, and support shop hydro-testing and recharging tasks. You’ll also work on industrial and vehicle suppression systems, following NFPA 10, 17, 17A, and 96.

Ideal candidates hold Illinois extinguisher and kitchen/industrial licenses, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Illinois Extinguisher license required, plus Illinois Kitchen and Industrial licenses.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install kitchen hood fire suppression systems.
• Inspect hand portable fire extinguishers.
• Hydro-test and recharge portable extinguishers in shop area.
