Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in kitchen hood suppression system inspection, installation, or service (preferred).
• Technical training in fire protection systems preferred.
• OSHA 10 or 30 safety certification desirable.
• Knowledge of NFPA 17, NFPA 17A, NFPA 96 and local codes.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, service, and install kitchen hood suppression systems per NFPA guidelines.
• Perform functional testing of detection devices, actuation mechanisms, and discharge systems.
• Diagnose and repair malfunctioning systems and install upgrades to meet safety standards.
• Document inspection results, service tickets, and repair logs; communicate findings to customers.
• Coordinate with local inspectors for acceptance testing and maintain safety practices.
