Job summary

The Hiller Companies, LLC is seeking a Fire Suppression Service Technician to inspect, test, maintain, and repair kitchen hood suppression systems across facilities. You will ensure reliability, compliance, and safe operation per applicable codes and standards.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
3+ years directly related experience.
Valid state license required.
Knowledge of NFPA 17 and NFPA 96 standards.
Proficiency with hand and power tools and pipe threading machines.
Valid driver's license with clean record and ability to travel.

Responsibilities

Inspect and test fire suppression systems, including kitchen hood suppression per NFPA standards.
Perform routine maintenance on cylinders, release mechanisms, and control panels per NFPA specs.
Test and recharge agent cylinders ensuring proper pressure and fill.
Identify and troubleshoot leaks, pressure issues, and faulty components; implement corrective actions.
Repair and replace components to ensure NFPA compliance.
Coordinate with clients to schedule visits and discuss system improvements.
