Job summary

State Fire is seeking a Fire Extinguisher/Hood Suppression Technician to join our team. You will inspect, service, and repair commercial kitchen fire suppression systems, perform annual testing of extinguishers, and maintain emergency lighting. Training is provided, and we support growth with a strong team environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to use hand and power tools.
• Comfortable working independently and managing time efficiently.
• Strong communication skills in English—both written and verbal.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
• Willingness to work occasional overtime and travel overnight when needed.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service, and repair commercial kitchen fire suppression systems.
• Perform annual testing and maintenance of fire extinguishers.
• Inspect and maintain emergency and exit lighting.
• Complete inspection reports and daily paperwork using a company-provided iPad.
• Service existing clientele and build new relationships to grow the customer base.
