Job summary

Summit Fire & Security is seeking a Fire Suppression Technician to install, inspect, service and repair fire extinguishers, emergency exit lights, and pre-engineered suppression systems including detection & control systems with minimal supervision.

The role requires knowledge of NFPA codes and strong communication with customers. Travel up to 10% and adherence to safety programs are expected as part of daily field service activities.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent; certifications preferred.
• 2 years Fire Life Safety/Fire Suppression experience preferred; 2 years computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Repair or replace fire extinguishers, pre-engineered suppression systems, and Detection & Control components.
• Use tools and test equipment to repair or replace components.
• Troubleshoot defective components and ensure compliance with NFPA codes.
• Maintain documentation on work orders and track work via Field Service Lightning.
• Communicate with customers professionally and travel as required.
