Job summary

Summit Fire Protection is seeking a Fire Suppression Technician to install, inspect, service, and repair fire extinguishers and pre-engineered suppression systems. You will use tools and test equipment to repair components and ensure compliance with NFPA codes.

You will troubleshoot system issues, document work orders, and communicate professionally with customers. A HS diploma and relevant certifications are preferred, with travel up to 20% involved.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• State or any required certification preferred.
• 2 years of experience in Fire Suppression or related field.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, service and repair fire extinguishers and pre-engineered suppression systems.
• Troubleshoot defective components in suppression systems and extinguishers.
• Operate tools and test equipment to repair or replace components.
• Maintain professional communication with customers and internal teams.
• Document work orders and track materials using Field Service Lightning.
• Follow safety programs, SDS, hazardous communication rules, and company procedures.
