Job summary

Summit Fire & Security is seeking a Fire Suppression Technician to install, inspect, service and repair fire extinguishers, emergency exit lights, and pre-engineered suppression systems and their Detection & Control components.

You will work with NFPA codes, test equipment, and Field Service Lightning to document work orders, track materials, and ensure safety policies are followed while traveling up to 90% of the time to client sites.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• State or required certification preferred.
• 2 years of Fire Life Safety industry experience in Fire Suppression.

Responsibilities

• Repair or replace fire extinguishers, pre-engineered systems and Detection & Control components.
• Troubleshoot defective components in pre-engineered suppression systems.
• Communicate professionally with customers and track work orders in Field Service Lightning.
• Complete documentation on work orders and follow safety programs.
• Travel up to 90% to client sites as required.
