Job summary

Summit Fire & Security is seeking a Fire Suppression Technician to install, inspect, service and repair fire extinguishers, emergency exit lights, and pre-engineered suppression systems with minimal supervision.

You will troubleshoot, replace damaged components, and ensure documentation on work orders. The role requires travel up to 90% and adherence to safety programs, with opportunities for ongoing education and certifications.

Qualifications

• 2 Fire Life Safety Industry experience specifically within Fire Suppression.
• 2 years of professional computer skills.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Must be able to travel 90% of the time.
• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• State or any required certification, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, service and/or repair fire extinguishers, emergency exit lights, and pre-engineered suppression systems.
• Troubleshoot and identify defective components of suppression systems.
• Communicate with customers in a professional manner.
• Travel to required work locations and complete scheduled projects on time.
• Document work orders and use Field Service Lightning for tracking.
