Job summary

Summit Fire & Security is seeking a Fire Suppression Technician to install, inspect, service, and repair fire extinguishers, emergency exit lights, and pre-engineered suppression systems including detection and control equipment.

The role requires knowledge of NFPA standards, use of field tools, documentation of work orders, and professional communication with customers. A driver’s license is required, with travel up to 10% may be needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 Fire Life Safety industry experience preferred (fire suppression).
• 2 years of professional computer skills.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, service and repair fire extinguishers, pre-engineered suppression systems, and detection & control systems.
• Use required tools and test equipment to repair or replace components.
• Communicate with customers in a professional manner.
• Complete documentation on work orders and maintain safety procedures.
• Follow NFPA codes and participate in safety trainings.
• Occasional travel up to 10%.
