Job summary

Summit Fire & Security is seeking a Fire Suppression Technician to install, inspect, service, and repair fire extinguishers, emergency exit lights, and pre-engineered suppression systems including Detection & Control systems. The role requires travel up to 90% and adherence to safety protocols, with mechanical and electrical tasks performed on site for various client locations.

A high school diploma and relevant certifications are preferred, along with strong English communication and computer

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• State or any required certification preferred.
• 2 Fire Life Safety Industry experience specifically within Fire Suppression.
• 2 years of professional computer skills.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Must be able to travel 90% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, service and/or repair fire extinguishers, pre-engineered suppression systems and Detection & Control systems.
• Repair or replace defective components of suppression systems and/or Detection & Control systems.
• Troubleshoot components and identify faulty parts.
• Maintain professional communication with customers and internal teams.
• Adhere to safety programs and complete required documentation.
• Use Field Service Lightning to track work orders and materials.
• Travel to locations and complete projects on schedule.
