Stantec is seeking Fire Protection Engineers to join our North America Fire Protection Engineering Team. The role involves designing fire protection systems, analyzing fire behavior, and creating design documents using CAD/BIM tools.

Qualifications
- Requires BS in Fire Protection Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 4 years of related work experience.
- Registered P.E. or actively pursuing licensure in Fire Protection Engineering.
Responsibilities
- Apply fire protection engineering concepts to design fire suppression, detection and smoke control systems and egress strategies.
- Perform calculations to design engineering system components using standard software.
- Gather information to support design decisions.
- Prepare designs, drawings, specifications, presentations and reports with guidance from senior engineers.
- Verify compliance with codes and engineering standards and practices.
- Collaborate with other design professionals in project delivery under a senior engineer.
- Provide construction support including submittal reviews, RFI responses, progress inspections and tests.
- Perform other duties as assigned by senior staff.
