Job summary

Stantec is seeking Fire Protection Engineers to join our North America Fire Protection Engineering Team. You will design fire protection systems, perform calculations, and prepare design documents.

The role involves collaborating with project teams and supporting construction phase services, including inspections and commissioning. Qualified candidates have a BS in Fire Protection Engineering, 4+ years of experience, and PE licensure or active pursuit.

Qualifications

• BS in Fire Protection Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of related work experience.
• PE licensure or actively pursuing licensure.
• Knowledge of NFPA codes and fire protection systems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Revit and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Apply fire protection engineering concepts to design fire protection systems and egress strategies.
• Perform calculations using standard software and manufacturer's tools.
• Gather information to support design decisions.
• Prepare designs, drawings, specs, and reports with guidance from senior engineers.
