Job summary

Clark Nexsen, a JMT Company, seeks a Fire Protection Engineer to execute fire protection design across commercial and government facilities. You'll perform concepts through construction documents under senior supervision and work with a multi‑discipline team to deliver integrated projects.

Responsibilities include client scoping, bid and construction support, and mentoring junior staff. A licensed FP engineer with 4+ years of lead experience is preferred, with LEED/AP credentials and design

Qualifications

ABET-accredited B.S. in Fire Protection Engineering or higher degree preferred.
Fully licensed Fire Protection Engineer in at least one US state or jurisdiction.
4+ years as lead designer/Fire Protection Engineer on federal/state/municipal/commercial projects; Design/Build or CM at Risk experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform all aspects of fire protection design services from conceptual studies to construction documents under supervision.
Meet with clients to prepare and validate scope of work.
Prepare marketing and presentation materials as directed.
Direct and supervise junior staff and coordinate with multi‑discipline teams.
Assist in bidding process, RFIs, and shop drawing reviews.
Develop drawings, calculations, and specifications for project submittals.
Coordinate with other disciplines and incorporate QC/Gray Team comments.
