Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Fire Protection Engineering degree or ABET-listed engineering degree (e.g., Mechanical)
• PE licensure within 60 months is preferred
• Internship experience is desirable
• Familiarity with building codes & standards is desirable

Responsibilities

• Prepare programming, schematic, design development and construction documents as directed
• Perform fire protection engineering on projects under supervision
• Develop understanding of fire protection fundamentals through hands-on work
• Prepare marketing and presentation materials as directed
• Assist in bidding: addenda, amendments and bid tabulation
• Support construction phase: site visits, RFIs, shop drawings, record drawings
• Adhere to quality control policies and company standards
• Participate in meetings and department education/IDP programs
• Coordinate with project team members and reporting managers
