Job summary

Clark Nexsen seeks a Fire Protection Engineer to lead fire protection design on multi-discipline building projects in the Raleigh area. You’ll perform conceptual studies, develop design documents, coordinate with architects and other engineers, and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Fire Protection Engineering from an ABET-accredited program is preferred
• Active participation in professional organizations is desirable
• Licensure as a Fire Protection Engineer in at least one US state or jurisdiction is required

Responsibilities

• Perform fire protection design across conceptual through construction documents under supervision
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams including architects and other engineers
• Lead and mentor junior fire protection staff on projects
• Assist in bids, addenda, and RFIs during construction phase
• Review calculations, drawings, and specifications for code compliance and quality control
