Job summary

Clark Nexsen, a JMT Company, is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to execute fire protection design for a range of commercial and government facilities. The role involves leading project tasks, coordinating with architects and engineers, and delivering code-compliant drawings and specifications from concept through construction documents.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in Fire Protection Engineering is preferred.
• Fully licensed Fire Protection Engineer in at least one US state or jurisdiction.
• 4+ years as lead designer/engineer on diverse fire protection projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform fire protection design across concepts to construction documents under supervision.
• Lead and coordinate with multi-discipline teams including architects and other engineers.
• Prepare scope and fee proposals for fire protection portions of projects.
• Respond to RFIs, manage submittals and revisions, and ensure code-compliant drawings and specs.
