Stantec is seeking Fire Protection Engineers to join our North America team. You will plan and design fire protection systems, prepare design documents, and support construction with inspections and commissioning.

Ideal candidates have a BS in Fire Protection Engineering, EIT or EI status, and up to 3 years of related experience. Office work with field exposure and collaboration across disciplines is common in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Fire Protection Engineering or related field with coursework in Fire Protection.
• 0–3 years of related work experience or equivalent.
• EIT/EI preferred, working toward Fire Protection PE licensure.
• Office environment with field exposure.

Responsabilités

• Apply general concepts of fire protection engineering to support projects including design of suppression, detection and egress systems.
• Perform basic calculations and use standard software for design analysis.
• Gather information to support design decisions and prepare drawings and specs.
• Assist team with design documents, presentations and reports.
• Verify compliance with codes and engineering standards.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers in project delivery under a senior engineer.
• Provide construction phase support, including submittal reviews and field inspections.
• Perform other duties assigned by senior staff.
