Job summary

Stantec is seeking Fire Protection Engineers to join our North America team. As an EIT, you will support design of fire protection systems, perform calculations, and coordinate with the project team to ensure code-compliant designs.

The role involves cad/BIM work and field support during construction, with opportunities for licensure advancement. This position is based in the Orlando area, offering exposure to diverse projects and collaborative engineering environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related discipline with emphasis in Fire Protection coursework.
• Zero to three years of related work experience or equivalent experience.
• EIT/EI preferred, working toward Fire Protection PE licensure.

Responsibilities

• Apply fire protection concepts to support design projects, including suppression, detection, alarm and egress.
• Perform basic calculations using standard software and manufacturer tools.
• Gather information to inform design decisions and prepare drawings and specs.
• Ensure compliance with codes and engineering standards in project work.
• Coordinate with architecture/engineering teams under senior engineers.
• Support construction phase activities, including submittals and site inspections.
