Job summary

Johnson Controls International plc. is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and install Fire & Life Safety systems at customer sites in Nashville.

You will read blueprints, troubleshoot equipment, and coordinate with customer representatives to ensure timely completion. Applicants should have 5+ years in low voltage electrical systems, NICET II preferred, and the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years documented experience in low voltage electrical systems, including Fire/Life Safety systems, Access Control, Nurse Call, and Paging systems.

Responsibilities

• Receive service calls from Service Resource Center and contact customer representative to ascertain problems.
• Diagnose problems and perform service and repairs on electronic fire alarm systems and related building systems at customer sites.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals and manuals; follow troubleshooting procedures to repair equipment.
• Exhibit excellent customer service and maintain communication with customers and district staff.
• Position involves programming of fire alarm, security, and access control system panels.
