Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Service Technician to handle service calls from the Resource Center, diagnose issues in Fire/Life Safety systems, and provide professional solutions at customer sites.

You will read blueprints, operate testing tools, participate in on-call rotations, train teammates, and chase upsell opportunities while maintaining safety and high customer service standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years documented experience in low voltage electrical systems, including Fire/Life Safety systems, Access Control, Nurse Call, and Paging systems.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and operation manuals.
• Knowledge of test equipment, multi-meter, digital analyser, and commissioning devices.
• Capable of lifting 50-70 lbs and working in confined or elevated spaces.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; pass background & drug tests.

Responsibilities

• Receive service calls from Service Resource Center and diagnose equipment/system problems.
• Perform service and repairs on electronic fire alarm systems and related building products at customer sites.
• Read blueprints and submittals; interpret diagrams and specifications.
• Provide excellent customer service and upsell where appropriate.
• Participate in on-call rotation and train other team members.
