Job summary
Johnson Controls is seeking a skilled field service technician to diagnose and repair electronic fire alarm systems and related building systems at customer sites.
You will read blueprints, interpret manuals, follow troubleshooting procedures and contribute to training others, with on-call rotations and occasional overnight travel.
A strong focus on safety, customer service and up-to-date credentials is required, with 2+ years in low voltage electrical systems.
Qualifications
- 2+ years documented experience in low voltage electrical systems including Fire/Life Safety.
- Experience reading blueprints, submittals, manuals.
- Knowledge of test equipment such as multi-meters and analysers.
- Must be able to lift 50–70 lbs and work in challenging positions.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair fire alarm and building systems at customer sites.
- Provide high level customer service and ensure satisfaction.
- Follow troubleshooting procedures and refer to manuals.
- Read blueprints, diagrams and specifications to install or service equipment.
- Participate in on-call rotation and mentor others.
