Job summary

Johnson Controls Life Safety Systems Sales Rep is responsible for promoting and selling fire safety solutions within an assigned territory, combining prospecting, consultative selling, and relationship management to grow new business and expand existing accounts.

You will deliver proposals, secure buy-in, and drive revenue while collaborating with district operations to ensure top-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Must have bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or engineering or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum five years of successful sales experience in electronics or similar industry.
• Licenses required by national, state and local codes.
• Nice to have experience with electrical contractors and reading blueprints/wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Establish contact with prospects, qualify buyers, schedule calls, and follow up on leads.
• Develop a sales strategy, qualify opportunities, and maintain territory records.
• Conduct seminars, demonstrations, and activities to generate, develop, and qualify leads.
• Prepare proposals, presentations, and financial justifications to close sales.
• Interface with district operations to support service delivery and meet quotas.
• Maintain and grow established accounts through regular customer contact and follow-on sales.
• Report progress with weekly/monthly metrics to operations and corporate teams.
• Participate in trade shows and events to grow sales and strengthen Johnson Controls image.
