Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a field-based technician to diagnose and repair Fire & Life Safety systems at customer sites. You will read blueprints and specifications, follow troubleshooting procedures, and communicate effectively with customers to resolve issues and improve building performance.

Responsibilities include service calls, on-site repairs, and potentially training junior team members. Overnight travel may be required, with benefits provided under the union-aligned agreement.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in low voltage electrical systems incl. Fire/Life Safety
• Able to read blueprints, submittals, manuals
• Willing to travel overnight

Responsibilities

• Receive service calls from Service Resource Center and diagnose equipment problems
• Repair and service Fire & Life Safety systems at customer sites
• Provide solutions and guidance to improve building efficiency
• Complete service acknowledgements with proper coding via mobile devices
• May participate in on-call rotation and mentor others
