Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a skilled field service technician to diagnose, repair, and install Fire & Life Safety systems at customer sites. You will interpret blueprints, read specifications, and follow manuals to troubleshoot and repair a variety of building systems.

The role requires strong customer service, safety compliance, and the ability to work onsite, including after-hours calls and occasional overnight travel.

Qualifications

• 2+ years documented experience in low voltage electrical systems, including Fire/Life Safety systems, Access Control, Nurse Call, and Paging systems.
• NICET Level II certification is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive service calls from Service Resource Center and ascertain problems.
• Diagnose problems and perform service and repairs on fire alarm systems and related building products at customer sites.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, and manuals.
• Exhibit excellent customer service and communicate with district staff and customers.
• Participate in scheduled On-call rotation and provide guidance to team members.
