Job summary

Dinges Fire Company seeks an experienced sales professional to plan and carry out sales activities for assigned accounts or areas. You will build relationships with Fire and EMT decision-makers and drive product/service delivery while earning commissions as an independent contractor.

Most of our salespeople are also firefighters; this role benefits from that knowledge base. Full-time or strong secondary income options are available, with a 1099 structure and no cap on earnings.

Qualifications

• Experience with fire service equipment knowledge and tools.
• Familiarity with basic computer applications.
• Understanding of customer service principles.
• Understanding of basic business principles.

Responsibilities

• prepare sales action plans and strategies
• schedule sales activity
• make sales calls to new and existing customers
• develop and present company products and services to current and potential clients
• negotiate with clients
• develop sales proposals
• respond to sales inquiries by phone, electronically or in person
• ensure customer service satisfaction and good client relationships
• follow up on sales activity
• monitor and report on sales activities and follow up for management
