Job summary

Siemens Mobility Internship Program seeks Fire Alarm Systems Technician Interns for our San Antonio, TX location. The program emphasizes hands-on training on HVAC, fire, and control systems with field experience and some sales exposure.

Interns should be available May–August and work 40 hours per week. Interns will rotate through service, project delivery teams, and site visits to troubleshoot and install systems, while collaborating with engineering to resolve issues and document activities for

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Enrollment in or recent completion of a 2-year Technical College/School pursuing a degree in Electro-Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic Systems, Electrician Technician, Fire Protection Technology, Fire Tech or related program.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week for the 10-week program (May–August).
• Onsite work at the San Antonio area location; no relocation or housing stipend.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Comfortable working in dynamic environments including rooftops, mechanical rooms, crawl spaces, or outdoors.
• Hands-on role requiring use of hand tools, laptops, tablets, smartphones, and other tech.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 75 pounds.
• Team player with good communication to document work and interact with customers.

Responsibilities

• 80% Field Technician Experience on job sites installing, programming, and servicing HVAC, fire, and control systems.
• 10% Sales exposure learning how solutions are presented to customers.
• 10% Project & Service Operations rotation across service and project teams.
• Visit customer sites to troubleshoot Fire Alarm and electronic control systems and assist in diagnostics.
• Collaborate with engineering and project management to resolve drawing discrepancies.
• Document service activities and provide basic training to customers for smooth hand-off.
